Antiquites Francaises The French House emerged from a shared interest in the French way of life and living that father and son, Stephen and Marcus Hazell, developed as they travelled around South West France. From a small beginning bringing interesting pieces back for friends in a broken down old Post Office van that had a tendency to be overcome with fatigue on an upward incline(not good in the Pyrenees) the idea for the French House was forged and the first high street premises opened in York in 1997.
